Burning Bridge Literary Agency brings the cutting-edge Finnish literature to the world.

We are proud to represent our carefully chosen, magnificient authors, whose titles vary from fiction to essays, from poetry to sci-fi and comics. Burning Bridge Literary Agency also specializes in launching careers for debut authors.

Established in 2009, Burning Bridge Literary Agency shares the freshness of its books and writers.  Originally the agency was formed to promote the translation and publication of new writing from the Turku area in Finland and function as a local authors’ and publishers’ foreign rights centre.

Turku has long been a centre of underground writing and street poetry. The city’s literary life is ablaze with energy, firing the imagination with anarchic fun and warming readers with its glow. The Burning Bridge Literary Agency was part of the City of Turku’s European Capital of Culture 2011 programme.

However, Burning Bridge Literary Agency has gone from local to national in urge to make the finest new literary talents’ voices to be heard.

Burning Bridge Literary Agency presents for example the outstanding debut novelists Roope Lipasti and Iida  Rauma, essayists Kari Hukkila and Antti Nylén, award-winning poets Ville Hytönen and Tommi Parkko along with the beloved comic book authors Milla Paloniemi and Anni Nykänen.
